Write for us
We welcome pitches that bring a clear, original point of view to independent media and its craft. A useful proposal tells us what question the piece will answer, who it is for and why the subject deserves attention now or will remain interesting over time.
What we welcome
Propose explainers, comparisons, histories, thoughtful critiques or focused accounts of a creative choice. Strong ideas have a distinct subject, a reader-facing purpose and enough detail to show how the piece will differ from familiar general advice. We value honest attention to limitations and to what can go wrong.
How to pitch
Send proposals through the Contact page and select the editorial question option. Include a working title, a short outline, the intended reader and a brief note about your approach. Please send the idea rather than a finished article unless we have agreed otherwise; a pitch is not a promise of publication.
A good fit
The best fit is specific, self-contained and useful without relying on unsupported claims or invented experience. Keep the proposed scope manageable, explain any specialist terms, and tell us whether the idea draws on personal experience, public material or another kind of source.
